My name's Sam Polk. My parents drove Luminas when I was a tot and that's what kept me interested in them. I've grown to love all the Ws, especially the first gens! I'm a sucker for 5speeds, TGPs, and Internationals...ohhh yeahhh

  4. That's the only recent one I have of mine. Maybe we can crop my rusty K2500 out of it? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. Nunzi, will my quarters cut my tires if I do this on my post-91 weaker mono-leaf with x-laces and 245/50s? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. Oh yeah, Imp...1st Gen wheels bolt up to 2nd gens and have less positive offset creating a wider stance...its bitchin! An exception to the rule would be 1.5gen 16x6.5 alloys actually have less offset than 1st gen 16x6.5s and stick out a delightful smidge when bolted to a 1st gen. I had 1.5g Lumina LS alloys on my 90 base coupe and always liked the stance. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. I've noticed improved handling in my FE1 and FE3 Luminas by going with the 245/50 series tires that came factory on 89-93 Grand Prixs...lot less sidewall roll, lower profile for clearance too. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. I've started to notice this crap even in northern Ohio. WHEN I trust someone with my Lumina, after testing them with my pickup trucks, mechanics will him-haw and drag their feet like it's a one-off vehicle, no one short of middle-aged will consider wrenching on it, and I'll ask them to fix, say...4 problems...and it most often is handed back to me with half of them fixed. Perhaps any douche with a 93 Chevy must be too poor to fit the bill in their eyes, but it creates a huge hassle to schedule another drop-off 3 weeks down the road to pay them to finish it. Perhaps I should wear a 3-piece suit or make it rain in the repair bay so they can just give me my car back SAFE for my daughter to ride in it. Just cause it's an old car doesn't mean I want it less than a-spec when lives are at stake. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Useful thread! My cartridges are original in my 1st Gen Lumina Z34. What would w-body gurus recommend as a factory or better replacement? I am getting new tires and a 4-wheel alignment next Friday. I infer replacing front strut cartridges will not affect my alignment. Is this accurate? Yall are the best! 12. Any luck? I may have 1 of some of those, but not for sale. Would like a dash myself. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. Anybody have the module that controls a/c flow/direction/cut off under throttle? Part is for my 1993 Lumina 3.4. I believe its behind the glove box in the dash and is in-line before the HVAC controls on the dash (already swapped that, but no luck). My car wont blow ac out the vents and isn't cutting off the ac when I'm under throttle. When I run it, the condensation incidentally pools up under the dash and has caused a pond on the drivers floorboard! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
