Yeah. That's terrible. Good luck next time. Since you are going to keep the car for a long time, i suggest you learn how to work on it and start fixing it yourself. If you dont already have one, I suggest you find a GM shop manual for the car. And it would also help to get a beater car for daily duties.

Agreed, get the manuals and learn how to wrench yourself. It's a good car to cut your teeth on. There really aren't many gotchas in a 2.8/3.1 1G.1 point -
