Anyone replace the ABS wiring for front wheels?

2003 Grand Prix. 187,000 miles. New Moog wheel bearings. Both the ABS and low traction lights are on. As experienced in other GP's, the ABS wiring is broken or badly corroded.  I tried to remove the wiring from some junkyard GP's, and noticed that the wires are very thin. Are they 18 or 20 gauge? Has anyone tried to run new wires from the ECBM to the connector on the wheel bearing for the front wheels?

Ok. I see that Rockauto sells the replacement ABS harness. I will get one of them as I have read that trying to solder any 18 gauge or 20 gauge wires to the stock wire connector on the ABS sensor on the wheel bearing itself is going to be impossible as the wire itself can be so corroded, it actually disintegrates.

I also have been advised to get the ABS system scanned as there may be more of a problem than just a broken wire going to one of the ABS sensors.

I had a broken ABS harness on my old GTP but I just soldered the wires back together and taped them up in splitloom. Fixed it for me and I didnt have to replace the hub bearing.

When a wire is badly oxidized you just cut it back to a clean spot. When there's mild oxidation either use acid core solder or simply fan the strands out and drag a razor knife backwards on them to clean them up before solder. For the less faint of heart it's even possible to extract the pins and solder a wire right back onto it to replace it all.
