Forgot to mention that my 89 Cutlass International parts car has the door map pockets on both doors but is missing on the passenger side of my 91. jiggity76 Posted June 25, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 Something weird is going on with these doors on my 91 International car. My drivers door has the map pocket, door speaker but has the chrome trim piece on top of the door panel from a lesser Cutlass. The bottom cladding tabs/mounts are also not correct or placed right for the International or sport package trim. The cladding fits good but noticed that the screw on the inside of the door towards the back is not lining up with the hole on the cladding like my 89 International parts car. The passenger side like I said earlier is missing the map pocket, has the door speaker and has the correct black trim piece on top of the door panel. The mounts are all correct for the International or sport package trim and the screw holding the back of the cladding is correct. Maybe someone can shed some light! Even though my Cutlass isn't running yet, I dream of the day when I can cruise around in it and know that I'm the only one in something unique. I bought a new truck and it's great and all but I see them running around everywhere, kinda blah. Love the old IROC'S I worked at a grocery store growing up and I remember a lady pulled up in a brand new 92 IROC that was bright red with red interior and those awesome T-tops. So gorgeous! From there I drove a '73 Nova, it had been in my family since new. There was the dubious time after that I drove a '94 LeBaron convertible, but I repented of that in a few years, and bought the '95 LQ1 Cutlass Convertible I sold to Rich a year ago today. The IROC was actually a suggestion from my wife, I've had it nearly 2 years now--I rarely see one on the road, and most of the ones I do see are beaten severely. I drive it pretty much every day--I've put a little over 30,000 miles on it in less than 2 years. This is mine--I took the pic shortly after washing it a few months ago. I'm a sucker for the lighter shade of blue, had a 90 Mercury Cougar that was Silver Frost Blue I think they called it and loved it. My first car was a 67 Chevelle Malibu that never got done since it was costing my dad a ton of money to restore. We ended up selling it, I was around 15 I think. It was red with red bench seat. 283 auto, nothing fancy but I loved it since is was my first car. Then 65 Olds F85 four door, good car but was really rusty. Moved onto a 87 Chevy Blazer two door, 2WD that had the 2.8 V6. Dark grey and black two tone. Pretty poochy but was reliable and put a lot of miles on it. 90 Mercury Cougar, fell in love with the color and the digital dash (that's why I love my Cutlass so much too)! First 4WD truck, a 97 black extended cab short box Silverado. Ran great and had no issues with it at all, should of kept it. My dubious time is when I bought my very first new vehicle, a 02 Dodge Ram extended cab short box that was bright red, sport package with the 5.9. Tranny issues after 9,000 miles so traded in on a 06 Grand Prix GXP, my second new vehicle and first W-Body. Never should of got rid of that one too, first love affair with HUD and damn was that car was fast! Lost my job at the time (plant closed) so I sold it to my loan officer who wanted the car since Grand Prix's are the only thing she buys. She took over my payments and I got a 94 Silverado extended cab 4WD to get me by. Ended up keeping that truck for 12 years and was one of the best vehicles I owned, rusted completely away with 393,000 miles on it. Picked up my 87 GMC Sierra and 91 International coupe as projects and bought my third new vehicle in March, a 2017 Ford Super Duty. Guess I've rambled on, sorry. Thanks for letting my know about the door pockets. Would like to find the correct door panel then for the passenger side some day. Is it something that can be added to my existing door or do I have to find the complete door panel? The door panel is in great shape so it would be nice to just add it.
