Matt Cramer
So I've got several rips in the driver's seat cover on my '98 Regal GS, with heated leather seats. I want to remove it and patch it myself. Any particular tips, tricks, or how-tos for removing the seat cover for repairs?
Galaxie500XL
I did this on my Cutlass, when I added a power seat track from a Regal to the passenger seat. The best advice is to take your time, go slow, and be willing to stick your hand in between the seat and cushion to help separate the cover from the cushion. IIRC, there are a few Velcro strips you'll have to separate. We took my seat bottom to a shoe repair place to have some of the seams sewn. They have the proper equipment, and it cost me less than $10.00 to have them sew it properly.

j_mezz
I've got a few unfixable rips in my 96 cutlaass that I'd like to do something about, does anyone know if someone makes a decent replacement?
Matt Cramer
In my case, I picked up a used sewing machine and a rather tasteless leather jacket from a thrift store that I plan to cut up and make into new sections. 95GS
DavidHowell3633
Get some hog rings and hog ring pliers for installation. Use a jy passenger seat foam for the driver's side. A curved needle and dental floss works on small jobs.
