I literally just need a few small parts to have 100% everything I need to do August's 5 speed swap. I need: clutch fluid reservoir, preferable with hose, but I can take care of that. Rubber grommets to go on the firewall plus the metal retaining ring, this is for 282. the grommets for a 284 are probably not compatible due to the larger shift and select cable sizes. I'll have to 100% verify that. 284 retaining ring is the same part. let me know how much shipped to 16001 Thanks -Chris

I might have that fluid reservoir. Lemme check. The rubber grommet to seal the firewall should be the same between 284 and 282 cables. The times I've have both cables, they were the same size.

A few months ago, I bought a new MC with reservoir for less than $20 from RockAuto. They were on some kinda closeout. Might want to check there too.

I checked and I don't have that reservoir. I know at one time I was tripping over them. Musta thrown em all out... Sent from my iPhone

Ah well. Thanks anyhow. I'm pretty sure I have had the same thing happen Either way, I verified. the gromets between 282 and 284 are in fact the same, so I'm fine there.

how do you do that? I have the part number for my 284 input shaft seal...just haven't found 1 anywhere. Was thinking if I took mine out, I could have Akron Bearing look for something compatible.
