Same color leather on 1993 and 1997 Cutlass Coupe?

My 1997 Cutlass Coupe has the dark gray leather seats. I found a 1993 Cutlass with what looks like the exact same color seats. Did the color change from one year to the next? My car is nowhere near the junk yard, so I can't just pull the seat and compare. The seat I found is literally perfect. Any help would be appreciated.

If your seats are charcoal gray, then it is the same color, GM didn't add or change colors, just took away colors. After a while you could only get charcoal or tan leather seats.

Your seats are something like this right?

Here's a pic of 93/94. 95 may have darkened since the interior changed.

Just make sure that the seats don't have a bluish hue to em. I think GM never changed the color since they were supposed to be "black" in color but were more grayish

The top photo is my car exactly. I guess I will just get the seat because they are obviously getting harder to find. I was going to transfer the skin (the seat I found is a passenger side) to the worn driver side of my car. I found another perfect passenger seat last year, and it is still in my basement. I plan on keeping my Cutlass for good, so this one would just be a spare.

Well you know, if you learn how to sew, you could make your own seat skin, probably out of real leather too if you wanted.

But yeah, just grab it, there's many ways to change the color of the skin. Someone on here dyed their seats full black.

Are there any specialty tools needed to take the seat back off from the bottom? I'm away from home, and don't have many tools available, and the car I'm going to use to take the seat home doesn't have enough room to take the seat home in one piece. And, I have a quarter inch socket set, and does anyone know/remember if a common size will get the seat bolts themselves? As I said earlier, I got another passenger seat awhile ago, but I can't remember what size socket I used, or if it was something special.

A normal 8mm socket takes the bracket off the seat. As far as taking the top off from the bottom, not entirely sure on that one.

If your car has foldable rear seats, I would recline the Cutty seat all the way back and stuff it through the trunk.

If you get a chance, could you look at your own Cutlass? I'm out of state, and the only way I'm going to be able to get the seat back to Pittsburgh is to take it apart. Plus, the junk yard is about 100 miles from me (I'm heading that way anyway on Friday) and I would like to get in and out of there quickly, if possible. I appreciate your help!
