19Cutlass94 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Share Posted August 16, 2013 No, you dont need to remove the oil pan. remove the crank pulley, ( 18mm bolt ) then remove all the timing cover bolts, and pull it off. make sure you drian the coolant from the block first using the two drains in front and rear of the block, or both sides depending on how your looking at it. If you dont do that first, youll get alot of coolant going into the oil pan. Clean the block and the timing cover up, inspect the seal, then reassemble.
