I still have to work on installing one into the 91 International this year, not good with wiring stuff.  The 89 International parts car has it.

Is it not prewired? I thought a 1991 would be pre-wired.

I'm not seeing anything prewired for it, but I could be wrong.  I put some pics up on a thread last year but when I tear into it this spring, I'll update.  Are they a pain?  Should I maybe not put it in?  Everyone says it's super easy to install but man I'm really struggling with it.  I don't know anything about wiring, splicing, and soldering so I'm lost.  I want to learn though so I'm gonna try again.

When you say prewired, is there just a dangling wire with a pigtail on the end just floating around behind the dash or bezel?

When I grabbed a section of wiring for my DIS, I found a rather base 1992 CS sedan, and there was a wire tapped up behind the radio that was for DIS.

That maybe the area I need to look then.  The original owner scrapped the original factory CD player and someone put in an aftermarket shitty radio.  The wires back there are all screwed up so maybe they discarded it or it's hidden somewhere.  I filled the space with a factory CD player that I bought from someone on this forum but didn't hook up anything because of the butchered wiring.  I'll pull the radio back out and post some pics of what it looks like and what I need to look for.  Thanks 94.

So I found this thread, Page three for pics of DIS wiring connectors.  Maybe I didn't get my section of wiring from a 1992 as Jay said 1992 isn't plug and play, but I seem to remember it being a 1992 or maybe the yard had the year wrong. Anyways 1991 should be pre-wired. I guess this guy found his wiring behind the ECC.

That's awesome, thanks so much.  I skimmed thru it but will definitely study it later when I start on the project again.  Here's where I'm at currently.

This is the mess behind the radio.  HUD cable is also there and what I have to work with.  I put the DIS in the dash just to see what it would look like but obviously not hooked up.  ECC plug is also here somewhere along with cigarette lighter bulb and the HUD switch connections.

Are you sure they cut the factory harness? That looks like an aftermarket pigtail that would plug into the car's old stereo plugs. Can't see the other end in the pictures.

Which picture are you referring too?  It looks like factory harness on the bottom side of the twist connectors and everything above might be aftermarket.

The one wit the bucannon caps and labels, there's not a plug above that?

I'm not sure.  I remember not seeing anything that would plug into the back of the DIS like in the 89 car.  I might have to pull apart all those wires and see what goes to what.  Maybe it's hidden in there with the ones that are labeled for the stereo speakers.
