I got rid of a Ghia that way, cut it in half and stood the two halves on end in my truck. The whole body was in the truck at one time.

LOL, nice!  I wonder if the salvage yard has seen anything crazy like that!

Oh wow, that would be fun to do!  Really get to take out all your frustrations!

Hahaha! As long as you dont get pinched in the middle of the 2 halves, or have one of them land on your toe when they separate!

Someday I want to find a Z34 parts car for motor parts for my Cutlass.  If it has good body and interior parts, you'll be the first to know Nas.

Conversely, how much would you be willing to pay for a Z34 that was in an accident, but had the frame pulled. Still needs slight work for the frame to be "fixed' and it has 93k original miles. I bought it with 81k.

Runs and drives but would have to ship since one of the bolts for the subframe is missing (why the car isn't considered "fixed").

In PA we can just cut a car in half and take it to the scrapyard if we don't have a title. Two halves of a car are scrap metal, but a whole car is legally still a car. One could literally scrap a stolen vehicle and nobody would notice.

They’re working on changing the law in Tennessee...right now, if the car is over 10 years old, a title isn’t legally required to send it to the junkyard. People were literally stealing cars off the streets, and attempting to sell them to junkyards.

Oh I don't have any idea.  I'm not dead set on getting one right now, just if the chance arises and when I have money to do it.  So far my Cutlass is showing signs of a good motor but if one in my area comes up that has a good motor and my Cutlass motor dies, I might consider it.  Sorry, didn't mean to lead you on.  More than likely if my Cutlass did end up having a good motor, I would try to rebuild it first.  So far in my neck of the woods, one comes up every once in a while that is super rusty but mechanically sound.

It's ok, you weren't leading me on. I thought it would be a good idea to ask if in case you were interested. Mines low mileage, which is hard to find... Otherwise I would have scrapped it.

Oh my god your killing me!  What is up with all these International cars coming up in that area?  Ok, so what is different about Canadian cars and US ones?  I know they run kilometers on the gauges but don't know much else.

Was teal a popular color these years too?

Yes, Bright Aqua was probably the most popular color on them. You notice the sawblade wheels? Those were used on Canadian cars. The U.S. cars got 5 spokes. Pie wheels were last used in 1992. Canada got some oddballs. I once saw a 5 speed 1992 International (WR11 in the VIN) coupe with manual windows. I've also come across Canadian convertibles with 15 inch wheels and wheelcovers.

I did notice the sawblades but didn't realize that US and Canadian cars had specific rims.   I knew it shouldn't have pies since it is a 93 model year car thanks to being educated on this forum.  I know that a lot of Ford vehicles of this era were teal too.  So maybe Canadian cars had more freedom with what options could be ordered.  Very interesting, sad to see in a scrap yard though.

If I had the money, I would go up with a big trailer and just buy all these GP STE's and International sedans and bring em home!

Damn, another teal one.  Trying to figure out what car that front left rim came off of on the red vert.
