jerseyharold Posted December 23, 2011 Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 The vinyl on the passenger's side air-bag cover on my '98 Lumina is warped and lifting away from the foam. bowtieguy Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 On that year of Lumina/Monte Carlo the airbag cover is rivited to the airbag itself with a mesh material and i dont think you could safely reatach another lid. Crazy K Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 the cover is attached to the module, but i believe it is held on by nuts and can be safely removed and replaced with a donor part if proper airbag service precautions are taken... i would NOT cut the netting attaching the cover to the module if it cannot be safely unbolted. bowtieguy Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 When replacing the bag after deployment they came from GM as one unit. I know you couldnt buy the lid seperate.
