    TGP vs. TSTE

Well, on Friday evening we brought the TGP over to a friends shop and put it up on a host so we could put new cradle bushings in it. So we get the drivers side done and broke one of the bolts on the passenger side, so we had to put in a new nut, except it is like inside the frame, so the guy that owned the shop said he would come in Saturday morning and fix it for us. So we went home. The next day we came back (in the TSTE of course) to pick it up. On the way home, my dad was driving the TGP and me the TSTE. They both have IDENTICAL mods except the TGP has different mufflers than the TSTE. Other than that they both have:

K&N Filter on the turbo & breather in valve cover
    TopGun 160
    160* Thermostat
    No cat
and of course the usual maintenance, plugs, wires, etc....

I pulled up next to my dad at a light in the right lane, and the right lane ends probably 500' or so past the light. I knew at this point it was on. The light goes green, and I stomp it. I hear my dad do the same only his tires weren't spinning and mine were. Well, when my lane ended I was going a little over 60mph and we were side by side...I had to slam on the brakes and pull in behind the TGP.

It was still LOTS of fun. On Saturday were going to the track and were going to race them against each other a few times for fun...they should be very close.

You should have shown some sedan power there.

    2006 Nissan Altima SE-R 3.5L 214ci VQ35DE DOHC 60º V6 | 6MT
Raclingline HFPCs and Y-pipe, NWP VIAS delete, Goodridge SS brake lines, removed airbox snorkel, deburgered.

I know my STE has more power down low than the TGP does...so if the tires would've gripped I would've taken him. We'll race them against each other on Saturday and I'll post the slips...they should be very close.

The chip that I put in the STE a week and a half ago is still learning. The car gets faster and faster everyday. Its 80+ degrees outside right now and the car is as fast as it has ever been, so I imagine that if it cools back down to 60 or so that the car will be FAST. It chirps the tires on the 1-2 shift...so its making a little power...that or the tranny is going.

Depending on whats done to it and L67 would chirp the tires. My dads GTP will chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift (48mph), with the Thrasher shift kit set on the medium setting. (it has mild (almost stock), medium (noticable improvement), and bang screech (which is pretty obvious what it is). But its not stock either.
