    88-94 RKE Module repair $30

I think I'm to the point where I feel I can offer up a service to repair broken Keyless entry modules for 88-94 cars

This would be the single plug module for the early cars.

    How do I program remotes?
    http://www.w-body.com/showthread.php...-Keyless-Entry

    Where is the module??
On coupes and sedans it is on the right rear corner of the interior on the rear package tray.
Convertibles it is on the brace that runs between the rear wheels on the trunk floor.

Availability allowing I can sell you one of the ones I have for $30 provided I get your core module, $50 If I don't (I'd much rather get the core back then the $20)

Or you can ship me your broken module and for $30 I'll fix it and mail it back to you.

Now the problem I am up against in repairing them. So far I have had very good success repairing the modules that are made by TRW. There is another one that is the same externally but does not have the TRW logo on the casing. I can try, and am presently trying to figure out whats wrong with them and how to make them work and work reliably. I'll accept either as a core presently.

Also I will buy unwanted modules. PM me and we can talk.

    Thanks

Bump! Just got some more rebuildable cores, should have them ready to ship soon. Could possibly also put together some kits to install in vehicles without RKE if there is enough interest.

Would be 100% interested in the kit. Mine doesn't have it but I really want it. Already have a Pontiac keyfob awaiting.

It's the engine W-bodies deserve, but not the one they need right now. So we'll abuse and neglect them. Because they can take it. Because they're not our heros. They're a smooth and complex guardian. A high maintenance machine. A Twin Dual Cam.

I'd wager 90%+ of the GTPs came with it. Check for the connector by the antenna in the trunk.

Under the rear package tray IIRC, there should be a single red wire near the antenna, if you ground that out you would hear the locks cycle

I grounded the wire. Nothing happened. That's why I think there's a problem.

Is this repair just another re-solder or do you change components in it?
