Those were available with a 5.0 IIRC.
I nearly bought one when I lived in Florida, but it was a 3.8L V6 (the one known for blowing HGs) and was pouring water out the exhaust.~Aaron

OMG, I had an '85 LTD with the 3.8. Ugliest car I've ever owned by a mile. Would have been cool to have the 5.0.
Mine was Tan and had a busted up front grille/hood as well as taillights/trunk. Just good enough to keep driving legally in MN.
The bowed-up hood made for nice vents when it started smoking from all the oil it leaked. I knew someone with one that had a factory 5.0...Was a cop car. He ran high 14s with it, stock. This was built in a time that the Corvette would barely hit 16 flat. A cop that had used it said they called it the grey ghost because there was nothing else that could outrun it.

I think that could make a pretty cool project car.. swap the front body panels with a newer fox mustang (with the rounder nose), and some nicer wheels and tires. I bet that's really fun to drive with the 5.0
