For sale: 1988 Turbo Grand Am with 5 speed $1500

My Neighbor is selling his 88 GA SE with factory 2.0 4 cyl Turbo and 5 speed manual.

The Good: Runs nice and shifts great. Goes down the road nice. Power Windows, Locks, and Deck lid release all work great. Orignal Delco sound system is all there and sounds great. All the gauges work. No warning lights on.

The bad: It leaks some oil which looks to be the oil pan gasket, previous owner removed the factory A/C, headliner is pinned up, and the rear tires are due for replacement. Previous owner took the original aluminum wheels off. Cruise control does not work. Here are some pictures I took today. Price is $1500

I am jealous beyond belief that a first gen TGA in Wisconsin is still on the road and doesn't look like this

I am also extremely upset with myself for not buying a plain 2.5/5-speed '89 Grand Am when I lived in Ohio...blue and silver on blue cloth, had cold air, 90K, was a $600 car at the time in '99 or so and would have been a terrific platform to drop a twin charged Ecotec into...

This car NEEDS A LOVING OWNER and for $1500 it's in serious danger of being picked up by some asshat who wants to race it and then tear it up in his back yard jumping over piles of dirt like you'd see on YouTube.

He's in a slight rush to sell it. He just bought a truck. How much time do you need? The bottom dollar is $1500.

I can't even remember the last time I saw a normal GA of that vintage on the roads.

I saw one a couple of weeks ago. It was a 1985 (no CHMSL), and had historical tags on it. It was in amazing shape. Blew my mind.

My neighbor had one in decent condition and they drove it all the time. Rust got to be too much on it though so they got rid of it a couple years ago. That's literally the only one I think I've seen in person.
