not everyone does it. some of us know our cars are slower than stink.

true. but most of us are past the stage in life where we think we have something to prove to the 17 year old in his 250K mile civic.

in the end, it comes down to this: if the forum(specifically the mods) allow the discussion of, it's essentially endorsing it, which can and will reflect badly on the forum should something stupid happenlike somebody getting killed or killing someone in a street race. these kinds of things DO get investigated in certain circumstances.

That was everything I was going to type, including having a slow car. The only car of mine even worth giving more than half throttle is the Regal, so if/when I decide to do it, I'll go to the track to do so.

lol true, although my TGP isn't slower than stink , it still can beat most cars around here, but I already know it can so I don't have to prove it. I do remember someone in a 98ish stock prix tried to race me once a few years back, it was rather amusing seeing the look on his face as I blew by him off the light. Then when I hit 50 I stopped accelerating and let him get the ticket.

We did allow it, for a very long time actually. However with such came discussions of "safe street racing" and some people got uptight about other peoples experiences which led to fights, arguments. And besides its illegal anyhow, should someone get in an accident or hurt someone else or worse then it would not take much for a inquisitive reporter to drag the forum into it and that is something that staff here wishes to have no part in whatsoever.

Running between lights is not that bad I think...it's doing dumb shit (I've admittedly been guilty of when young and very stupid) like racing in traffic on the freeway is what we need to avoid condoning.

But, I am not the owner or a mod, so my opinion is moot.

I think this says it fairly well.

And I don't think there's any more discussion really needed here.
