    Anti-siphon Valve

    92 STE DOHC:
I need to get the gas out of my tank, and read that there is an anti-siphon
valve of some sort in it. How does it work? Is there a way around it? I'm not dropping the tank.

I would disconnect the battery. Disconnect the fuel line on the IN side of the fuel filter and connect some hose to divert it and put the other end of the hose some gas container.

Reconnect the battery and you can bypass the fuel pump relay by jumping or connecting a power source to the fuel pump test plug (red). Or you can just turn ON the ignition (no start) and it let drain all the fuel.

    Anti-siphon Valve

Yikes, that sounds involved, almost as much as dropping the fuel tank. How tough are those lines to get to? Any idea what size hose I would need to do it that way? I was trying to avoid getting under it.
I tried to snake a siphon down it this morning in the slight chance that my car didn't have an anti-siphon valve. No dice.

Is the anti-siphon valve located in the filler neck somewhere (it sounded like it was at the base of it)?
Is it possible to remove the filler neck and then get a siphon down into the tank that way? If so, can the filler neck be removed from the gas cap side (I see three or so bolts there around the top of the filler neck)?
