    2002 GP SE $500

First: This is a perfect running and driving car with TITLE ISSUES. Therefore, from here in, the car is being sold FOR PARTS with a bill of sale only. A title will be included with the vehicle. PM me for more details.

So here goes. The Grand Prix I have now is soon to be no good to me. Why? I have a title with a lien against it, and have had no luck getting in touch with the owner to get a lien release from the bank. Registration on the car is due by Feb. 15th (for MN folk, it needs tabs). As such, the car will be useless to me as of 2/15/12.

I figured I'd offer it on here first, I know there is a TON of great parts on this thing and it should really go to better use than me sending it to u-pull. Almost everything on the car is good, keep in mind I DD this think 25-30 miles a day, every day. The only issues are as listed:

    PARTS

The tails are no good, delaminated and they leak. Work fine though.

Both bumpers are cracked, rear minor front more so right in the middle. Not terrible, but not really useful as a replacement.

Doors all have a bump or two, rear doors have the worst but still a solid 10 ft car.

Both front wheel bearings are shot. Not loose, but very loud.

Tires, good for spares. 4-5/32, rears are slightly cupped on the shoulders. All balance out fine, rims are in GREAT shape.

Everything else is great, interior is MINT. You can tell it was a highway car it's whole life. Also, it's 99% rust free. TA mounts are in great shape. Minor surface rust, but no more.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. Text me if you'd like, I'll get right back to you. # is (612) 501-8539. I'm trying to get pictures up as we speak.

Far as I'm concerned, I've made the attempt to pursue the legal routes. It was sold to me this way, and I'm getting rid of it with the explicit knowledge that the car is not road-worthy as-is.

Beyond that, it's up to the new owner, if and when there is one.

Title issues suck. But they can be fixed! Speaking from experience.

Back when I lived in MN, I had a 1990 Sunbird LE that I got as a payment from someone who owed me money. Just handed me the keys, he didn't have a title and neither did the previous owner. Everything was legit, just no one bothered with the paperwork.

Long story short, ended up taking about 2-3 months mostly due to the feet-dragging of others. In the end I had my little 5-speed Sunbird and the title in my name, I was a happy camper.

..and if I wasn't currently unemployed and too far away, I would jump on that.

Did it have a lien on it? That makes it a lot harder... Getting a replacement title is a lot easier without a lien. Plus, I don't have 2-3 months to deal with DMV bullshit. I need a car to drive, and the one I have currently needs tabs. Like now. So yea...

I know different states laws are different as to how easy/hard it is to obtain a title. Which is a shame because that looks like a decent car!

It's a very decent car, it runs amazing and is in great shape. Like I said I DD the hell out of it and it ALWAYS starts, even last week when it sat for 2 days in negative temperatures. Heater is awesome.

I failed to mention this, but just because the title has a lien on it does NOT mean that the car still has money owed on it. It just means that at one time the car was financed, and very well could have been paid off a long time ago. I just don't have the piece of paper stating that it WAS paid off, and have no way of getting it at this time.

If you knew for sure that the vehicle had been paid off, you *might* be able to get the lien release card from the bank/cu that holds the lien. But if you dont know for sure then don't, they might be looking for it.

I don't even know what bank holds the lien. There's company and a PO box listed on the title but that's it.
