    Downpipe Hardware

I bought a new downpipe from ZZP because mine collapsed and I know it's gonna be a pain to get the bolts off (if I dont have to cut them off...). Does anyone know what size the bolts are? I'd like to throw some stainless steel ones on when I replace it.

if you bought just the cat, it needs to be welded in or clamped. Not sure why you are worrying about bolts.

    Did you get a downpipe?

I got a downpipe, not just the cat. I edited the post so I stop confusing not only myself, but others too

Yes. I did get the ZZP Downpipe and I would like to throw some stainless steel bolts on for the new one. Any idea what size?
    Thanks!

no idea. but when i got mine, putting my car on ramps i didnt have enough leverage to remove the bolts(soaked in PB blaster too), so i had to pay an exhaust shop to do it for me. get new gaskets too!

I got some family with a lift in their garage that I'm gonna do it at. And I made sure I bought both gaskets (front and back) from ZZP when I bought the downpipe. I figured the bolt size out, its 10mmx1.50
    Thanks!

on a 3800 in a genII w-body its just a couple nuts that hold the downpipe to studs on the back of the manifold. aside of people rounding them off being careless i've never seen them get all that bad, you should be fine will likely need a swivel though.

Update: Anyone who's lookin for the bolt size, thanks to Turbocharged400sbc on TCG, they are 10mmx1.50pitch

I went with Stainless Steel bolts and lock washers from Menards...

Rather than buying $30 worth of hardware, which I did, and found out the correct lengths:
The length of the front is 30mm
The length of the back is 25mm

Rough cost was about 10 bucks. Anti-seize them too. You life will be much easier. I bought my downpipe from ZZP and I had my downpipe installed by a guy in Milwaukee and we had it done in nothin flat.
    Thanks!
