The vinyl on the passenger's side air-bag cover on my '98 Lumina is warped and lifting away from the foam. It looks pretty bad. Can a good one be transplanted from another car, or do they make replacement covers? Thanks for any ideas.

On that year of Lumina/Monte Carlo the airbag cover is rivited to the airbag itself with a mesh material and i dont think you could safely reatach another lid. I would look for a used bag from another car.

the cover is attached to the module, but i believe it is held on by nuts and can be safely removed and replaced with a donor part if proper airbag service precautions are taken... i would NOT cut the netting attaching the cover to the module if it cannot be safely unbolted.

When replacing the bag after deployment they came from GM as one unit. I know you couldnt buy the lid seperate. If they do not unbolt from the bag itself DO NOT just replace the lid.
