Car of the Quarter Thread [Suggestion]

    Just a thought:

Another forum that I'm on pretty much forces you to go to the thread where the voting happens each month (for this it would be each quarter). When you sign in and the thread is available, the dialog says something like "the moderators want you to see a thread before you go into the forum." Thats super effective in getting people to vote in this kinda stuff, and personally I enjoy being reminded of it.

Well what about if you divert them from the main forum to the voting page when they click the forum button on the top.

Side suggestion.... On the HHR forum I'm on the featured car is shown on the homepage. I think we should do something like that...either on the homepage, or the header bar, have a picture of the featured car.

On a side note, it would be nice if the voting period for COTM wasn't so short... not all of us can log in regularly...

BTW, is there a way I can save threads somewhere so I don't have to re-search for them? Is there like a FAVORITES or FOLLOW button I can click on that I don't know about?

Go to thread tools at the top of the page. Check to see if your subscribed. If not click that button. Then go to your settings. Top of the page by "My Profile" Then view your subscribed threads from there.

    Attached a photo for you.

Voting is for 7 days. If you can't login in that time, then that's on you. It takes only a couple minutes to vote.

I'm not really opposed to the idea of making it longer. IIRC it used to be a 5 day voting period that got moved to 7 and considering we only do it 5 times a year...
