Toledo 2012 W-Body nats open discussion thread

Sorry for the false start we had.... its time to get the ball rolling on the 2012 W-body.com Nationals in Toledo, Ohio

I've seen a few people express interest in helping set this up, anyone that is helping coordinate this should full well know what to expect.

First and foremost, a date needs to be selected. From there, proper planning can be done. I will create a date voting thread tomorrow sometime.

    BGA,

If you would like to help, you can create a nice bristol board sign for the lobby of the hotel:

"WELCOME TO TELDO - HOME OF THE W-BODY NATIONALS!"

If you're feeling even more ambitious make an even bigger banner to go over the interstate at one of the bridges.

BREAKDOWN ABILITIES: In car mode, his engine emits vibration that causes mechanical failures in other vehicles...can speed to 200 mph...uses concussion cannon in robot mode.

Does this mean the one held in the past in the Dayton area has been moved, or will there be two meets?

Dayton (at least for the foreseeable future) is no longer the home of our meets, at this point in time Toledo is.

The first or second weekend in June always seemed to work well.

Thanks. Just curious, why not Dayton anymore? If it is going to be in Toledo, years ago I went to Tony Packo's bar in Toledo, and it was a cool place. It would be a great place to meet. If anybody ever watched the old show Mash, Clinger was from Toledo, and he talked about the place all the time on the show. Great food, beer, and they are known for their hot dogs and chili, and they make their own killer spicy hot pickles.

It has been quite a few years since I was there, so I am glad to hear it is still in business. If you've been there you know what a great place it is. A good place to meet you think?

I like the beginning of June, but I guess it really doesn't matter to me.

And, as long as I'm in Toledo there's no way in hell that I'm NOT stopping at Schlotzky's Deli....yum.....

So what exactly is gonna be the hotel situation?

I just see pretty much the same thing happening, but in a different area.

I'll borrow this idea from Jason... http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/e...or/hoteldetail

From the way he was talking is that it is ideal for what we are after (yeah yeah yeah its more expensive) but I am so tired of having to deal with Police/hotel mgmt/other guests, it would be nice for us to have a place to ourselves.
