Thread: An idea to improve the 2012 meets . . . .

    An idea to improve the 2012 meets . . . .

. . . if you're joining late, just move along.

For those whom have read and have been offended I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

In the name of keeping things sane for moderators, I usually try not bring my religious beliefs on to online forums - it's kinda like politics, but today I'm going to make an exception.

Simply put I'm a believer. If you were to follow me, you'd see one big pair of footsteps in the sand, and then you'd see mine. The big ones belong to the big guy upstairs. Sometimes the footsteps move apart, and other times they are closer together, and sometimes during troubling times I wander off path completely but generally, the two are parallel it's just a varying question of how close they are together.

To me there's only one Jesus Christ, and there's a whole bunch of look-a-likes. I don't know what the real Jesus looked like, the only thing that I do know, is given what I've read in the scriptures, he probably does have a beard, but doesn't have long hair like myself. I'm protestant, and to be honest with my long hair (and natural good-looks) a catholic friend of mine bothers me about playing the role of Jesus in Easter, Halloween, and Christmas productions. (Bonus points if you're thinking that Halloween doesn't belong in the group, it doesn't)

Regardless . . . I believe that our God has a purpose for each and every one of us. I'm not entirely sure what mine is, and I'm not convinced that some of my havoc isn't part of some greater plan. But I am sure that offending people on the topic of religion isn't part God's plan for me in life.

So . . . I'm retracting my comments, apologizing to moderation for opening up the can of worms that religion can be, and gently reminding them that hopefully I'm making life a little easier for them, so that they don't have to have a summit to discuss this grey issue. Just as FYI - I'm stating that in sincerity, if anyone's reading this who's had rub-ins with the moderators . . . they're trying their best, so without being provoked by any of them. I'm going to try my best.
