    2012 NAIAS - Detroit, MI Cobo Hall . . . . . (January 14th - weather permitting)

Might sound as if I'm getting ahead of myself (I usually am).

Last year, Jamie, Chinese Matt, Nunzi, BGA, BGA's BGF, and myself did the auto show . . . . . with great success.

This year we'd love to add a couple more people for the meet, and potentially upgrade from Mini-meet to Official W-body meet (I think that the threshold for an official meet is 10 members). I'm so ambitious!!

For those whom live in the Eastern States. My doors are open, if you want to crash somewhere, we're roughly 3 hours out from the show in Kitchener. You'll need a passport/EDL to do so though.

BTW - I'm open to the idea of attending an Auto Show event that is not in Detroit - if someone in the group wants to pitch a location. As FYI . . . . . I do NOT intend on attending the Toronto Auto show.

    Eric,

The 14th is opening weekend, so not ideal, I'm likely out if it's the next weekend, as I plan on being in Ottawa then.

It runs something like 12th to 22nd of January.

I would strongly consider trying to find a room down there, perhaps somefing similar to what we did in Livonia.

No, I meant providing I can get the day off and stuff. I'm not too concerned about the crowds, I've found that it's pretty much busy every day. I don't know about getting a room down there or not. I mean if lots of us are I probably would just to hang out. Honestly that place in Livonia was pretty nice... But again, depends on what everyone else is doing since my place isn't too far away I wouldn't need to.

I'm in if I don't have to go to Canada (do not currently have passport, though I suppose there is plenty of time to get one), and I am able to travel with local members out there.

    Fehl,

Check with AQM and ET, I'm betting neither of them have passports, but they might want to go.

Googlemaps says 4.5 hours from Pittsburgh, but it's only 286 miles. If Aquaman is driving and he can concentrate on keeping the rain (snow) away, I'm sure that you could polish this trip off in close to 3.5 hours.

Going through Kitchener sure isn't a shortcut.

    Pittsburgh to Kitchener: 5 hours.

Kitchener to Detroit: Just under 3 hours.
