    round 2 3500 Lumina

well I went to the track last night and got about 7 runs in on the car. Installed a ported 3400 plenum with a 65mm TB and the 24lb 3.4L DOHC injectors. I don't think the injectors are big enough still, might get some 28lb trail blazer injectors if the will work. If not then some L67 injectors! still untuned, 2" cat back and 3spd auto.

    went slightly better:

going to get the exhaust done probably this saturday, then get some injectors, and talk to Robert about a tune! Then I will make some more runs! (and better vids, I hope!)

Not bad at all considering all things.
this IS a General Motors product and the general rule is that nothing should make actual sense.

That's really cool man. I like unique builds.

    Nice!

I may be joining you soon with a LX9 powered Lumi. Just spent an hour prepping and swapping over items to the engine from a bad 3100 Don't need too many more parts to have it ready to drop it.

I'd like to see what I could do. I'll be OBD2, tuning with HP Tuners and a LC-1 wideband, L67 injectors and a 3.33 FDR 4T60e.

Well thats the plan for now

And X2, quit goofing off and run 14s

You could shave off quite a bit with a better launch. That 60' time isn't too great. You should be able to shave another tenth at least. Well done on the improvements though.

thanks every one! Should see 14's before the season is done, I have untill the last sunday of november if it dosen't snow! I am really thinking of installing my cam that I have had for over a year now, and then the headers too! I have a corvette fuel pump that I may install just to make sure I don't have any volume problems. As for the 60', I don't think I can get any better with out a big suspension and tire investment. I planted the front wheels in the water box on the last run and smoked them pretty good (snow tires!) and it felt like it hooked better, the 60' was a 2.32 that time.

I really need to get some kind of a tune and get the rev limiter bumped up, I have been shifting in to 3rd around the 1000ft mark and that isn't helping!

The L67 with plenty of mods ran perfectly fine on the stock 95 Regal fuel pump with zero fueling issues. I highly doubt you'll need better than stock to run high 14s.

I had lowered springs (which were still fairly soft) when I ran the regal with the old L27 at the track and ran a 2.26 second 60' with 215 wide street tires.

I will try to go on a saturday next time, they usally prep the track better.

I went in to work on saturday and made a 2.5 cat back up for it! my only concern is that the muffler may be more restrictive than the flowmaster that was on it. It dose feel a little better but only the track will tell!

FWIW, I only have a cat on my GP and an 18" resonator. all 2.5" piping. take that first muffler off and put a high flow cat on. it will be just enough to not choke it out but not lose your low end. With manifolds, x-over, and 2.5" DP i gained 11 whp. That's basically 15 at the crank. That is pretty good. Port your manifolds and DP.
