I thought the frog meant that. Wasn't sure.

oh boy...I'd love to have a PDF of this...very interesting...thanks! What happened to the 245/45 Goodyears? That tire size never made it to production, correct?

The article says 255/45 Goodyear Gatorbacks. I'm not sure why that tire size never made it into production it would be interesting to find out.

I'd slap some on my laces if the price was comparable to 245/50s...but the 255/45s are more expensive and are rare to acquire on the used tire market.
EDIT: wrote incorrect tire size

The lip on that rims looks bigger than the factory production lip.

Oh okay...wouldn't that be sweet to acquire one-off prototype laces!!Most hardcore W-body fanatics, myself included, run the original 245/50 R16 tire size on their x-laces...Brian Spearman, Canasian Matt, etc. Mid-1993, Pontiac began using 225/60 sissy tires.
Breakdown's 1995 had 255/45 Cobras on it when I first met him...they looked sick and I dont know of any complaints he had with rear fenderwell clearance. Even with 225/60s on x-laces, poor rear struts will cause tire damage from the fender's inner lip hitting the tire on bumps. With 245/50s, a bottom-out will damage the rear tires just where the tread meets sidewall.
Also, the 255s are wider, but have a lower profile, so more clearance before impact...
