6/29/11 Track times for Also GTP.

First off.......you just couldnt ask for a better race night. Temps in the high 50's/low 60's....the track was very sticky tonight. Absolutely no traction issues.

Very pissed I didn't end up bringing the Silver GTP due to the picture perfict conditions....A. there were 2 heavily modded 2nd gen GTP's there tonight running 12's...and B, that car is running amazing now with the new blower/tune. Last time I had good track runs it was 90 degrees out and even then I was pleased with how it ran. I can only imagine how close I could have came to high 12's tonight if I decided to bring it............with that said, I'm very pleased with how Also GTP ran tonight....did a tad better than I thought (especially in the trap speeds). Glad I got to take her out and see what she could do. The only thing that could have made the times slightly better....were due to my poor planning I had just a hair over 1/2 tank of gas on all my runs tonight.

    Best run of the night

    15.221 @ 92.46mph (best E/T & trap tonight) That run had a 2.375 60'

My best 60' of the night was 2.270, however I missed 3rd gear that run and ran an ET of 15.395 @ 90.51mph. That very well could have been something good if my dumb ass hadnt got too cocky with my powershifts that run.

    Other runs....

    15.279 @ 92.02mph.........2.337 60'

    15.326 @ 91.35mph.........2.345 60'

    15.381 @ 90.72mph.........2.335 60'

    15.720 @ 90.80mph.........2.366 60' (completely missed 2nd gear that run)

Of all my runs....I actually only lost traction out of the gate one time....and believe it or not it was on my best 60' run of the night.....if I hadn't spun, AND missed 3rd gear on that very run....It wouldnt suprise me if I hit a 14.999 that run. FFFUUUU

    Pretty good for a 184k LQ1.

Damn good I say!!! Lol considering the minimal amount of work done on the motor that's a hell of a trap speed. I need to get to both my cars to a track that's worth a damn and see what they'll do.

Nice runs. If you could get it out of the gate a bit harder without spinning a lot, you could run some high 14's.

I'm new at racing a 284 car.........I'm used to racing L67 cars. So learning what the 5 speed W's can take at launches is still new to me.
