My 95 Vert Project Thread!!!!!

I know that I have not posted anything in a while. But as of today, I finally have something to post about... Well after owning my 95 cutlass vert for the last three years, its finally going to have the body work done. And then it will be going into the paint booth to be repainted. As of right now it is in the state of tear down. Im sorry that I have no pictures yet, because the camara with the pics is at my moms work... So ill try to put them on later after i get out of work if she brought the camera home...

The paint on that car doesn't even look bad. Once you are done should be even better.

What is wrong with the paint?

The car has a numerous amount of scratches everywhere, and has alot of chips on the hood. And a whole bunch of dents here and there. The door pictured has rust, and that right rear quarter panel is also rusting. There is slight amount of rust starting on the lip of the trunk lid, and a little on the lip of the hood. Which is why ive decided to have the whole vehicle repainted... ill see if i can get a few more pics of the rust and everything next week.

are they repairing the rust of just painting over it?

yes they will either be repairing the rust or if they will not be able too, ill have them replace the panel's insetead.

When I had my trunk tore apart, after an accident. I had the inside of the trunk undercoated. It also helps to reduce sound when driving. Just an idea.

It's a shame you gotta repaint, the paint doesn't look bad at all in the pics.

94 olds vert, that is a very good idea. I may have to keep that one in mind. But yea thanks, my moms work thus far has made amazing progress.

Virtuetovice, yea the paint itself for the most part isn't bad, but with all of the damage that is visible and the hidden damage that they will be bound to find underneath the paint; led to my decision to have the whole car repainted. The car itself will be repainted the exact same color. I HATE BLACK CARS!!!! with a passion, and I know that I will probably be shunned for saying so...

This way you don't have to worry about the engine bay being a different colour.
