Thread: Rocketman RSTB brackets

    Rocketman RSTB brackets

I will be making more brackets as seen in this thread:
    http://www.w-body.com/showthread.php...My-custom-RSTB

I will be selling just the brackets - you will be responsible for the bar & hardware.

Price is $55 shipped to the US, I'll have to check on shipping to Canada.
EDIT: price shipped to Canada is $62

Pictures of the brackets/bar when setup

I'm setting up my foundry to make more than one bracket at once, looking to see how many I need to make so I can setup properly.

These are very high quality. I bought a set a few weeks ago and got it all installed, and they are very nice. I would definitely recommend these

Thanks - I am casting them. I run a microfoundry in my backyard. There's pics in the thread linked in the first post

I'm using A356 aluminum with TiBor & Strontium grain refiner/modifiers. It's as strong / stronger than alloy wheels. My scrapped brackets I need to cut up with a saw, I can't even break them with a hammer. It's super tough stuff - nothing to be leery about.

I like how the mounts go into the bar. I'll take a set if shipping to Canada isn't much more.

Why would you weld the mounts? No one does...

Thanks - Shipping to Canada is $11.95 (priority), total would be $62 shipped.

Anything cast is brittle, its the nature of the beast. His are made from cold rolled steel, which is not brittle.

Don't get me wrong, not knocking your product, they look bad ass, just saying it as I see it...
My castings are made from recylced alloy wheels (which are cast & do not fatigue and crack under a 3400lb vehicle) If structural integrity was an issue with these I would not be making them. They will not break/fatigue/crack. If someone wanted to weld the mounts up they are welcome to give it a shot - but I don't think its necessary. My mounts fit inside the bar, and when torqued down the top and bottom of the bar are secured against the mount. It simply won't budge.

Any further discussion of the design or materials can be discussed here: http://www.w-body.com/showthread.php...My-custom-RSTB

I cleaned up this thread for you, sorry I didn't notice it sooner. And I'll repeat what the OP said. If you are not interested in what he is offering do not post, simple as that, if you want to discuss the pros/cons of the item he has a thread for that linked in his first post, use that.
