Ok time for a tune-3400 swap lumina update!

well I managed to get to the track today for one last time this year! weather was great 8*c and a little tail wind (20km/h). Only thing different than last time on the car is the 2.5" down pipe from the manifold to the cat, to replace the stock 1 7/8" 3400 DP. The rest of the exhaust is stock 2" from the cat to the flowmaster muffler!

I was supprised with the first pass:

    15.95@ 88.53 mph

then backed it up with a

    15.99 @88.67mph

after that I swapped out the 215 70r15 tires for some 195 70r14 snow tires, for the gearing advantage

    then went

    15.77 @89.99mph!

let the car cool for 45mins with a bag of ice on the intake then made my best pass of the day:

    r/t...... .115
    60'..... 2.320 <--best ever 60 ft!
    330.... 6.634
    1/8.... 10.167
    mph... 70.61
    1000.. 13.169
    1/4.... 15.674
    mph... 92.05

and no the mph was not a fluke backed it up with a

    15.73 @91.83mph

very happy with the car but a little upset because the mph is good for 14.80's lol

Did you have any traction problems? I love my Aurora H107 245 50 16s. They give me great launches.

Not bad at all. Looks like it pulls pretty nice up top.

Good god! 92.05?!? I know a 3100/3400 with bolt-ons is quick but that is outstanding.

    I need a downpipe nao!!!

Is that with the old 3T40 or a 4T60?

no it was not spining on the 15.6-7 runs but did spin once or twice with the 15" toyos on

yes it is still the stock 308,000km 3t40! need to get the 1/8 mile times down then I should see 14's out of it. It is going to be harder next year when I make more power with it because I shift in to 3rd right after I cross the line on the top end! I shifted early in to 2nd one run and hit the rev limiter just before the finsh line!

I am tempted to see what it would do with a tune+headers+65mm TB+and 2.5" cat back.
I think that would be all that I need to get in to the 14's on a stock 3400!
