    Tach stopped working.

Today I replaced the coils and module on my 92 international 3.4 and after I was done the tach would no longer work. If anyone has any ideas I welcome them.

The tach signal wire goes to the ignition control module...so recheck all your connectors at the ignition module and make sure they're plugged in tightly + that no wiring there has come loose from the connectors. The tach wire is white in color and is located in the largest of the three connectors at the module.

So yesterday the tach starts working on its own and today it stops. I unplugged the connectors at the module and plugged them back in with no change. Its just the tach but im so anal it drives me nuts.

check for pinched wires coming off the ICM. Was this a used unit or band new? Reason for changing them?

I purchased the car for winter and it had the CEL on. I read the code and it was code 42 so i put a used set of coils and module in that I had. The light is off and seems to run better but now that tach is not working. I traced the wires back and they look ok but still no change.
