Thread: Koni shock GB

    Koni shock GB

I can get koni race shocks from my supplier for $165+10 shipping. These are koni race, not just koni yellow shocks. Double dampening. So when you turn it up they adjust compressive and dampening at the same time. Truly a must have shock. These will bolt in for the front and the rear will need some modifying.

    I need 10.

If I cant get 10 I will order for my self at the end of the month. Whos in?
10 being the number of shocks needing to be ordered. not 40.

We are talking $165 each right? Get me some more specifics such as model number, and if they ACTUALLY ARE bolt in for front end. pictures are nice. After my last dealing with you I want to be 110% sure of what I'm buying so I don't get burned again.

Model number is 8610-1437. These are bolt in for the front and the rear needs to be cut and threaded. We can provide that service if you need it. I am taking 2, so thats 2 left needed. If you dont know about Koni, well lets say they are the best shock on the market, period.

    Yes $165 each

And to clarify these are or are not shorter piston lengths to accommodate lowering? I would be looking for something stock ride height.

Shock length is 6.25" I am not sure what stock is. It could very well lower your car, I am not sure how much.

So for the rear you are modifying a stock shock into a coilover that accepts the koni cartridges? Right now my car has HT coilovers in the back on the KYB struts. I was thinking of trying to buy just the coilover body for the koni inserts from HT stage 3 kit shown here: http://westshorefabricators.com/WBod...ers_Stage3.htm , and reuse my other coilovers parts.

But if you can do something like that to make for easy future cartridge changes I'd go that route and would definitely be down for 2 shocks with it.

You have to thread the housing. Like so.

I'll be down for 2 of the rears as well provided you can modify them for fitment.

Ah, I see, and I guess there's some sort of cap that holds the cartridge in? How much do you charge to do that and can you do it to a GR2 strut housing too or just a stock one, because I have GR2's.

Yes we can do the modifying to the housing. WE call these CSK's, custom shortened konis. The price on threading the housings and modifing them is $150. They use the factory style nut as the front, so it looks OEM.
