I asked wickedbuick on here about the 3" downpipe since he swapped an L67 in his 1st gen Regal.

You have to take out the heat shields but there is room without cutting and anything rubbing.

I know at least on my 3100 CS there is no room..

Yes bob there is. I have a stainless 3" DP on my car and you just need to remove the heat shields. There is no banging or cutting and no rubbing issues. I am working on getting custom headers bent to fit without any cutting this summer too. ( If I get the remaining cash lol)

    Ok, then 3" it is!!

Went to the 2 Cleveland Pullaparts today with Ken. Didnt find shit at the westside one, so we then went to the eastside. Found one 3800 99 MC.. harness intact!! Snagged that biatch right up, with the PCM, and PCM box. We also pulled a dash harness from a 96 Regal 3800. Not an easy task at all. Prolly wont use the harness but I just attached its C100 connector to the 99 MC's C100 so they only charged me for 1 harness, so the dash harness was a freebie!

So prolly later this week I will be starting on the C100 connector to have it ready.

Deia, If I use the MC L36 PCM and just tune it, I wont have issues with the fuel gauge. This is because I will keep the existing fuel level signal from the tank to the stock cluster. The L67 PCM sends a fuel gauge signal from the PCM to the cluster, which is prolly the wrong data value that the Regal cluster wants to see.

Good luck on getting headers to fit with no cutting. I've heard/seen that it's pretty much a must. haha

For aftermarket headers, yes, but he's having his custom bent. I'd rather just cut and make them fit instead of paying 2-3x as much to get custom ones bent, which is probably what I'll do. Headers, 3" exhaust, 3" downpipe, should make for some good power.

    Hahahahaha!!!

I fuckin love GM.... more than half the damn wiring for the C100 connector is the same between the 95 Regal and the 99 MC

Its really down to I may have to delete a few wires, and redo the power distrobution on the C100 in almost the identical manner as I had to on my 95 CS to OBD2 harness.

I may have the C100 done in 2 days (Tomorrow to 100% verify what changes I need to do after work) and then after work the next day is where I will actually do the changes at the C100. Then its down to adding the SC Boost Solenoid wiring, extending the MAP wiring and changing the MAP connector. Ill have to get that stuff to do that on my next JY trip next week.

I'd like to see them when they're done. It'd be a good bend to not hit. IIRC on my friend's 91 GP swap he cut a good amount out of the floorboard/firewall for it haha

I can't say for w bodys but Mike at Milzy Motorsports has made custom headers for late 90's Grand Ams and several G6's. He also has made several turbo headers for Grand Am setups. All were very high quality. When I get then done I'll certainly take pictures of the install and completed.

Yeah he really does great work. I live about 15 min from his shop and we help each other out with projects and I know he'll take care of me on the headers. He's making a jig so he can make more sets too. Mike is also working on a late model Impala that in the end will be AWD LS7. I know at onwe time it was an LS1 but the guy upgrades I think lol That customer keeps throwing him the cash!!

Well I have an issue with my gauge lol I got a 0-90ohm autometer gauge as that seemed close to what my sending units range is. I was just gonna run the signal wire straight to it and get rid of my whole facory gauge cluster at this point. It'll look better too

Sorry Andrei heres your thread back

We haven't worked out the final price but around $800 or so. That is for full ceramic coated headers with warranty. First set too so once they are done and others want to buy, it might be a bit cheaper or maybe not. He'll know what material is needed and the cost for it all and have more solid selling price for others.

For $800, with all due respect, I think I'll start hacking up my firewall.
