Welcome fellow B4U owner!
Car looks great for a kids first car!
Take care of it and it will serve you well!

It looks great because I take care of it, I'm pretty much the only person in my family who cares about the way our cars look. Also, as far as functionality, my dad is a former mechanic and wouldn't have let me buy junk. If this had had the LQ1 in it, I wouldn't have been able to buy it.Originally Posted by 1tinindian
Thanks for the compliments though! In my opinion, as far as looks, the B4U GPs were the best GPs made.

BTW the LQ1 comment isn't my opinion, my dad just hates DOHC engines. Although... I've known a few people who seem to hate the LQ1

Whatever they want to think is OK by me, but the 210 HP does have it's moments!Originally Posted by whatthefehl312

But until then, I'll keep up on the maintainance and keep on enjoying it!
At 163,000++ miles, mine runs great, thanks!

Well, I want to do an L67 swap eventually... finding the engine and such seems easy enough, but I don't have the equipment or know how to change it out myself. There's a place around here that not only repairs cars but also restores them... they do a lot of engine swaps. I wonder if they'd be able to do the work at a decent price for me... (before it closed I worked at a local auto parts store, my dad was the store manager. This garage was a customer of ours that I'm friends with)

Well to be 100% honest, if, and, or when the LQ1 goes tits up, I'd be very interested in an L67 swap.Originally Posted by whatthefehl312
I love the, the way it looks, the way it drives, so a new engine would be all it would need to keep me going.
My main concern is with the swap is the OBD 1.5- OBD2 swap in getting the engine to run correctly with the 1995 car.
But I'll worry about that when the time comes!
I'm sure it has been covered here before, so it's just a matter of searching for all the info!

Any change of reverting the newer engine back to OBD 1.5?
I kind of don't want to upgrade to OBD2. I'd like to keep that buffer of not having to worry about idiot lights when it comes to inspection time...
