    Ebook - Table of Contents

    This will be a rough outline to start, and we can make changes to it afterward. A list of topics, if you will. Some of these were carried over from the XJS-book. No point in re-inventing the wheel. I will update this as I have time, so don't be surprised if most of it is missing. I'll be adding segments as I go along. This will in essence be like a hierarchy. Feel free to make suggestions on additions as we go along.

    Above changes have been added.

    Can someone provide the codes for the engines I listed and mention any engines that I might have forgotten? The Quad4 for example, though I don't remember the displacement or the engine code, and the 2.8L.

    I'd like to arrange the engines by type as well. 60degreeV6, Pushrod, etc.

    What year cars did those go in? I'm assuming year is the main difference between the large and small port?

    Re: Ebook - Table of Contents

    Some engine help:

    3400 = L32
    3.1L (n/a) = LH0 (VIN T)
    3.1L (turbo) = LG5 (VIN V)
    2.8L = LB6

    Quad 4: It depends...
    LD2 = Standard variant, 150hp
    LG0 = High Output, 180hp
    W41 = Highest Output, 190hp

    Also, a few suggestions for the list:
    -Add a modification sub-section under "Engine". This can include CAIs (w/battery relocation), dogbone mounts, U/D pulleys, PnP work on manifolds, 3100/3400 top-end swaps, etc.
    -Should we possibly devote a separate section for TGPs and/or Cutty Vert issues?
    -Under "Interior", perhaps add UB3 swaps, and rear defroster upgrade
    -Under "Body", or maybe as its own section, add content on cleaning and care of exterior/interior surfaces? As a detailer, I'll volunteer to write this section.

    Does anyone know the difference between the 3100 L82 and the 3100 LG8? Should I list them as two separate engines, or keep them under the same category? Are they significantly different from each other?

    Yes, I understand that, as it was already posted. What else is there though. Was there a difference in which cars they were used and during which years they were used?

    LG8 could be had in VERY late 99 cars, and from 2000-up it replaced the L82.

    So for the purposes of this book (Gen1 and Gen1.5), we should be focused primarily on the L82, correct?

    yeah, since it was availible from 93-99 and gen 1 was 88-96/7 and 1.5 was 95-99, pretty much.

    Caught me off guard there by modifying your topic, haha.

    Your suggestions have been added.

    Here's more information I need:

    What's the difference in usage year between the 3400 LA1 and L32?

    Also, what years was the Quad4 used for in w-bodies, and which engine code applied to those years?
