Willing to put in some funding for this...

Will this project need any money or anything to get it rolling and completed? I like the idea and I'd be willing to chip in some money to help out where it is needed. Whether it be for our site for extra bandwidth to make the file available for download or anything like that. I would assume most people are going to just give their time but that I don't have much of - especially to actually sit down and write something.

I'll handle most of the composition for this book, although people will be able to contribute sections at a time here.

As for money, I have the software needed to publish the book, so I imagine the only money that might be needed is if Luke would charge to have the document hosted on his website.

Thank you for your offer though. Its good to know people are behind me on this. I'll keep you in mind in case I need anything.

You could make it available as a torrent.

I certainly could, and print off copies on plain paper and drop them off at the nearest auto stores. That would be a way to bring in more traffic here, if they take the books.

I'd be willing to chip in for some formal paper copies if the decision is made to go that route. I'll be happy to distribute to local stores and/or online.
