The drop is finally back from paint (pics)

    Hey everyone,
As some of you know, my 94 Cutlass Convertible has been going under heavy reconstruction. I have gotten the car back from paint, and while it isn't 100% back together, I thought I would share some pics. I don't expect everyone to like it because it is a bit extreme. If everyone loved it, it wouldn't be custom. To me part of customization is expressing myself through a vehicle. The tail lights will be relocated into the reverse light bar. We are still plastic welding the sockets from the tail lights into the light bar so it isn't intstalled yet. I post it when it is done.
Next up for the car is new interior, some suspension work, and setting the car up to add Nitrogen tanks to the suspension.
Ok, enough chat, here are the pics.....sorry for the quality, taken from my camera phone

And just for kicks, here is a pic from right after I bought it showing how much it has changed in the 18 months I have owned it. (the red 95 in the background belongs to my father-in-law. It was formerly teal. Now it is a 1994 Caddy tri-coat red. Very expensive paint, very clean car)

94 Cutlass Convertible- full air ride and custom paint, collecting dust in the corner for the last 2 years

95 Cutlass Convertible- finally coming out April 2010, redone from bumper to bumper

Ya know, I am not one for customization BUT I really think this came out great! I know how much time, effort and money goes into this kind of stuff. Props dude can't wait to see her after she's fully assembled!

i'm a car show guy, love air ride, and hydros, love big wheels, and foater rims, but i think i have to say for once in my life that i don't like a custom paint job. I think the lines of the older cuttys are soft ridid lines, if that makes sense, and the "pink" is too rounded. Maybe if you get some higher quality pics up it'll look better. Either way i applaud you for being unique and all the hard work/$$$ put into it.

Thanx for all the comments guys... There is definately a classy way and a moron way of saying your feelings on someones ride. Most of you were classy about your opinions which says alot about this group of people.
Xtremelumina: I agree that higher quality pics may tell a different story, good or bad. I almost didn't post these but I couldn't wait. Plus being right in the sun is making all the colors hard to see. I am not sure which color you called pink (i'm colorblind) but it is silver on top, white on the bottom. Then you can't really see it but the separating color is orange with a blue pinstripe.
If I had it to do all over again, I would have done a few things different on the car, but I'm not so I won't.
Once the interior and stuff is done I will post more pics of the finished product and they will be magazine quality

    see ya,

    Sean

that said, i enjoy your creativity. knowing that you have a car that no one else will ever have (air ride, rims, and custom paint) has to make you sleep well at night. More power to you andget some better pictures please.
