    here's a question

Has anyone tried bolting DOHC heads onto a 3400?

If possible, would there be any advantage?

    here's a question

i don't think it can be done. oil passages may or may not be there, i'm asumeing that you'd remove the cam and instal the dummy shaft. and somehow try to route the belt to run the cams. i don't think it can be done.

Soneone on 60*V6 put the LQ1 heads onto his Aluminum bowtie 3.4 Block. There was a lot of things that didn't line up.

Really , there wouldn't be any advantages to that... the nice thing about the 3400 block is that is a roller cam , and if your using a dummy cam in it's place... there is no point.

The other nice thing about the 3400 is it's heads, but once again , if your just going to use the DOHC heads.....

I dont see it working. That being said if it did, i honestly could see some advantages....

    here's a question

I was wondering about coolant/oil passages... I wasn't sure exactly how different the blocks where between the two. (LH0 or LA1 etc vs. LQ1)

I couldn't really see an advantages either I guess.. just wondering if it could be done. Started off wondering if you could throw them on a 3.1 or 2.8 block but at least the 3400 has the same bore...
