    300ZX vs. Sonoma

I was shopping today in Columbus, when some dousche in a black 90+ 300ZX does an illegal u-turn right in front of me

He floored it (judging by the loud buzzing from the 2 fart cans sticking a foot out farther then they should) and so did I and amazingly he didn't get away from me...I kept up right on his bumper, didn't really gain on him though

It has blue neon plastered everywhere...it was disgusting

Now...I'm curious if this was a fluke or not, I assume it was N/A so it'd have 222hp, vs my 165 horses of fury in my Sonoma (I'm gonna use the older figure from my truck, since they rated it at 155hp in 95 for some reason even though there we're no changes in the engine)

of course i assume my truck is lighter but still...what do you guys think?

    300ZX vs. Sonoma

my 3100 beat a late 80's 300zx on the highway at high speeds, so I can see how that might be possible.

Dude you don't have to be an ass. Atleast i'm talking about the right vehicle here!!!

Great, good for you...you're a nissan guru. Here's your cookie.

I was making a point that if my L82 can take an older one to the house even on the top end, it could definately be possible.

this entire thread is asking about a possibility. We are all just guessing anyway cause none of us were even fucking there!

With that said, I can see how the mtx 4.3 might be able to stay pretty close on the lower end. Mostly because it was in a lighter vehicle like a sonoma, and not a blazer/jimmy.

sorry if that came off as being an ass...im not feeling great right now so im not really thinking clearly...and the thing about the old NAs vs the newer NAs a lot...im pretty sure that the older turbo 300ZXs are slower than the newer NAs...and i agree it is very possible that an NA 300ZX is slower or as slow as a RWD S10 4.3 5spd...and im no where near a nissan guru The cookie best be good tho...

If you had a run on him, thats where you had your momentum. I know that the 90+ 300zx weights about 3400lb's, I looked it up once. It still has 222ph, but prolly neglected so he could afford some sick neons and exhaust. Thats your other factor...I believe.
