'86 Chevy Astro vs '99 Honda Civic

I know it may not be a W-body. But Just a few months ago before I bought my Lumina, I used to have an 86 Chevy Astro..4.3 TBI V6. Nothign done to the engine and it had 104k miles on it. I was on my way to a friends house about 20 minutes down the road. I was at a stop light. Thought it woudl be funny to do a brake torque. Funny as hell. The guy in the civic revved his itty bitty 4 cyl at me. And I nodded.

    Green
Floored the van. Civic had a good jump off the line (Being FWD)

Right at about 40 MPH, I pulled ahead. This guy acted like he had somethign done to it. Some crappy exhaust made it sound like he had work done to it. I ended up winning by a good 4 or 5 car lengths. I would post how fast I was going, but the little needle stops at 85 hehe.

Just a reminder, a Stock 1986 Chevy Astro Van, 4.3L V6 with only 150 HP, (225 lb. ft. of torque) won against a "done up" 99 civic. That was humiliation on his part

I heard him on the gas, getting the revs up before shifting..and honestly, would you want to lose to an old POS that was multicolored?

Wow that must have been one POS Civic! I raced a Astro van at the track (with my 88 2.8L GP) several times and it was very close. About 18 seconds flat I beat it but only by maybe a car length.
