    tranny help needed

    trying to remove the tranny on my 92 lumina euro w/ abs (3 spd tranny) and seems l ike there is a crossmember in the way.. whats the best way to remove the tranny and how? thanks

    support the engine from above and remove the engine cradle (as the book calls for)

    so i do h ave tot remove that crossmember underneith? t he tranny is unbolted just wont come out

    tranny help needed

    I've seen people get 'em out without pullin' the whole cradle from under the car, not sure how that happens - I've pulled a few of 'em myself and I always tend to use that method (supporting the engine and droppin' the cradle)

    tranny help needed

    save time "DROP THE CRADLE". Easy for me on my 89 gp it's alredy on the ground. The cradle washer's pulled throught the subframe.

    i say leave the cradle in place, pull the hood off and pull 'em both out the top.
