    ub3 and z34 cluster adapters - pics

    this is an adapter to upgrade from your old base digital or analog cutlass cluster to the ub3 cluster, or from the base lumina cluster to the z34 cluster (pic fro main page of w-body, hope gnatgosplat doen't mind):



    the adapter is made from gm parts and will snap securely in place just like your factory cluster connector does. the only work you will have to do is run a tach signal wire from the aldl connector if you have the base digital cluster.

    please only post if you are definitely interested in an adapter. i will need the year, make and model for cars other than the cutlass, and which cluster you have. pm me with any questions.

    these pics are of the unfinished product. it is not wrapped and is missing the retainer clips still. i will get more up later of the finished product.

    I'll take one! Here's the info on my car:

    1990 Chevy Lumina 3.1L
    Base analog cluster (no tach, just fuel and speedo)

    Do you need the pinouts for this type cluster, or do you already have them?

    whats the digi cluster come out of? Is it a direct swap with the lense and all? If so i'll buy one.
    You should also make a connector for the base to z34/euro dash, those would sell 5x as much as the digi dash;s will. JMO Later Jay

    good idea. thanks jay. i'll change my heading in a minute. the cluster comes out of cutty supremes. modification of your current cluster is reuired to fit a ub3 into a lumi. talk to steve or baddflash (sp?) about it if you are interested.

    C3 - Pink/Black - Ignition Power
    C4 - Yellow/Black - Low Coolant Light
    C5 - Tan/White - Brake Light (parking brake or low brake fluid)
    C6 - Brown -Charge Indicator
    C7 - Dark Green - Coolant Temp Indicator
    C9 - Black - Ground
    C10 - Brn/Wht - SES Light
    C11 - Tan/Blk - Shift Light
    C12 - Lt Grn/Blk - Antilock light (if so equipped)
    C13 - PPL - Fuel Level indicator
    C16 - Lt Blue - Left Turn signal

    D1 - tan - Oil Pressure Indicator
    D2 - Yellow - Fasten Seat Belts Indicator
    D8 - Gray - Dimmer switch

    great. thirty bucks even, then. my mailing addy is at the top of the page.

    for anyone else who is interested, i'll be trying to get these finished over the weekend so i can ship them out beginning of next week. depending on my work schedule i may or may not be back on here next week.

    if you can get the mods to sticky this at the top, they are more than welcome to lock this thread. then anyone else who wants one or has questions can pm me.

    barring any unforseen incidents, i hope to have these three adapters out by the very latest wednesday. most likely will be monday, though

    torotoro, jmblimo and anyone else wanting to switch from the analog cutty cluster to the ub3: you WILL have to run one wire after all. you will need to splice one wire that i will indicate later into your "park lights on" wire in order for the dim function to work. the ub3 will function without this additional splice, but will not dim with the rest of your interior lights if it's not hooked up.
