look on the front side of the handle...there is a lil clip...slide it out with a flat screwdriver...then lift the handle up!

when you're pulling up on the shift knob, after you've taken the clip off.. don't put your face right above the knob.

when you do it put it in first gear and it will be alot easier to get at the pin in the back

I put the "T" shaped style shifter from my 88' onto my 95. I just didn't like the "cobra head" shape.

I agree too, aftermarket knobs, either don't fit, or look like crap......to the original poster....good luck finding and aftermarket automatic shift knob that doesn't look like a$$....I looked for almost two years before I found one that looked decent for my Fiero
I also like the T better than the Cobra head.
