I was sittin at a stoplight, and across from me there was a 98 GTP(modded) next to a 78 Mustang II Cobra(really modded I think, not sure havent seen it up close) anyways, when the light turned green, the GTP took off, smoking the tires, and got a good half car length ahead of the Mustang. But before they both got past the intersection, the mustang was even with the GTP. the stang took off and sailed past the gtp with ease. Haha i was laughing, seeing a L67 get its ass kicked. the guy who drives it is one of those people who thinks L67s rule all.

You can make pretty much any car that SUCKs fast.. (Mustang II). Its pretty darn easy to swap in a better V8 and the huge V8 Ford aftermarket... a 12 second car would be easy.

yeah i know the mustang is damn fast. Sometimes he drives around town with very limited mufflers, or open headers.

The is one sitting in my apartment lot. I knew it was a pinto but then saw the mustang on the grill and a mustang badge on the side.
Just look under the rear and see if the gas tank is right behind the bumper. Or if your driving just hit it and see if it blows up.

But if you build it, you can build it your way. I'm not going to dump a crap load of money on a GT-500, then ruin it by modding the crap out of it. Also, the GT-500 didnt quite look like that stock. it is a modified body on the Eleanor car. I say go for it! tehn drop in a 4.6DOHC with a nice vortech and smoke some ass!!
Oh, and for those that say the 4.6 is crap(i know some of you did say stock, not modded, but even stock it would wop nearly every car on this site), I challnge you to race a few. My '96 Cobra had the 4.6, and after smoe work and a supercharger, there wasnt much that COULD keep up.

anyways, i have said, in the past, that a SOHC 4.6 can't compare some V-8's from other automakers, mainly GM.
it just isn't a good engine. it's loud as shit, but doesn't put out much. there's no horsepower, and it's torque output doesn't make up for that. they don't hold up well as they age either. drive behind a high-milage 4.6. it WILL be blowing oil.
