    ALDL Connector

I have a 95 Monte Carlo LS, and I am trying to figure out how to read the trouble codes. It is OBD 1, but I don't have pin B, so I can't use a paper clip. Also, I would like to be able to do it without buying a scan tool.

I have been looking into hooking it up to my PC using the MAX232 IC. The software I am using is carbytes V2.0. My connector works fine and I am able to get the RPM, Voltage, Temp, and possibly the MAP and O2. Should I be getting more data from the ECM, like the TPS and Vehicle speed? Does anyone know what bytes are used to output the trouble codes?

Also, are there different adresses for the ECM and PCM? when I was getting the data, I tried using $F0 and $F5 as the addresses and I got the same results.

If anyone has any info on this, it would be greatly appreciated
