I haven't driven my TGP much the last few months because of winter, but the mileage was way down last fall (circa 15 mpg). This spring when I got it out the engine light came on so I did the paper clip trick to it and got a code 41. That was the only code. The code list I have says it's a Ignition Control Module issue. From the seat it seams to run smooth. How could a smooth running ICM cause such lousy MPG?

BTW- Everything is stock on my car.

Thanks

So I tried this once before, but lost site/didn't keep up with it after a while. However, now that I just got laid off....AGAIN....I've got some time on my hands to do some serious spring cleaning. I'm starting with straightening out my second/spare bedroom (aka gigantic parts storage room). I've got a bunch more to go through, but to get the ball rolling, I'm going to list what I have so far. First, some ground rules. If you don't agree with any of the below regulations, please kindly skip this thread.

I am not interested in any trades, so please don't ask.

I am pretty firm on the prices, so please don't send lowball offers. If you're looking at multiple parts, we may be able to work something out, but the prices are more than fair. You can't get most of the new parts this cheap even at employee cost.

Due to them not being worth the cost of shipping, all parts listed in red will be available to the first person who purchases another part from me and wants them. Some of the parts in red are free, some are a few dollars. See descriptions of items for details.

I'd prefer the larger items (HUD set ups, spoilers, etc) be picked up, so locals have first dibs. If they don't sell, I'll consider shipping. These items will be marked as "no shipping" in the description.

For those items I am willing to ship, prices already include FedEx or USPS (whichever is cheaper) shipping within the continental US.

I WILL NOT SHIP TO CANADA OR ANY NON-CONTIGUOUS STATES. I'm sorry, but I just don't have the time to be running back and forth to the post office just to get shipping quotes/wait for an approval from buyers, or deal with customs paperwork.

NO DIBS! I WILL NOT HOLD ITEMS FOR ANYBODY! The items go to the first person to pay me.

Payment is to be made either by money order, or through PayPal AS A GIFT PAYMENT! No exceptions! If paying by money order, please make note that I will not ship the item till I've cashed the money order and it's cleared, so this may delay shipping up to a week.

I've been an active member of the w-body community for over 10 years, and have bought and sold well before any sort of trade rating system was established. I also have a 4.7/5 detailed seller rating on eBay selling primarily junkyard parts. Those that have bought from me know how quick I ship, how well packaged the items are and how well I describe the items. SO....without further adieu, here we go...

GEN I W-BODY

NEW PARTS

NAPA/Echlin fuel pressure regulator (#2-19639) - Bought this for one of the old 3.1L cars I had, but never installed it. Not sure what other applications it would work for. Comes with all new o-rings. Napa still has it listed at $109.
$50

NAPA/Echlin ignition coils (#IC39) - Also bought these to replace on one of the 3.1L motors, but never installed. The boxes are beat up a bit since I've had them through several moves, but rest assured, the coils look and are new. Includes gasket. These work on almost any GM motor. NAPA list price is $53 each.
$30 each, 2 for $50, 3 for $70

ACDelco water pump (ACDelco#251-598, GM#12371989) - THIS IS BRAND NEW, NOT REBUILT! The box has never even been opened. The dealer parts label sticker sealing the box shut hasn't even been broken. For the 3.1L, but I'm pretty sure the 3.4 DOHC uses the same, and possibly the 31/3400 as well. Those numbers are very old, and may have been replaced some time ago. List price is $62.
$40

ACDelco power antenna (#22555600) - Yes, you read that right. A brand new ACDelco power antenna, and MADE IN JAPAN!!!1111...1...11...1! I think when I bought this, it was actually listed for a Grand Am. I've also seen the same number listed for several Olds cars, so I'm sure it will work on quite a few applications. Unfortunately, I have no way of confirming if it will work on the w-bodies, or not. Took a gamble on it when I bought it, but never got around to installing it. Date on the side of the box says 5/23/91. List price is $165
$90

ACDelco turbo wastegate solenoid (ACDelco#214-474, GM#1997152) - Bought for one of the TGPs, but never ended up using it. The dealer parts number label is still sealing the box shut. Pretty sure this is the same solenoid used on the turbo Sunbirds and Sy/Ty, too. List price is $87, GMPD is $44 + shipping.
$45

Palladium REMANED starter (P6424S) - I was going to install this on one of the turbo GPs, but elected to go with a used newer style starter instead. I do not have a box for this, but it was never installed. List price is $55. Due to the weight, this is going to cost a bit to ship, so I'm really not selling the starter itself for much.
$30

MSD Heli-Core spark plug wire set (#3181) - These 8mm blue wires with burnt-orangeish boots are tailor-fit for a whole bunch of applications with the 2.8/3.1 motors. Bought them brand new off another member here or TGPforums years ago, and never used them. Seeing a reoccurring theme here? I actually can't even find these for sale anywhere anymore, so I'm not positive on the exact MSRP, but I know they weren't cheap.
$50

NAPA Gold fuel filter (#3481) - Yet another part never installed on any of my old cars. This should fit a bunch of different applications, but it is up to you to find out if it works for yours. This won't be worth the cost of shipping, so I'll let anyone who buys something else off me have it for $5. NAPA list price is $15.
$FREE *with purchase of another item*

ACDelco thermostat (#2450-7563) - By now, you get the story. Bought a long time ago, never installed, sat around for years, and here we are. Not worth the cost of shipping, so I will let the first person who buys something else off of me and wants it have it. This will fit a bunch of applications and includes the gasket.
$FREE *with purchase of another item*

ACDelco spark plugs (#R44LTSM) - Boxes are a bit beat up, but they are brand new. Works on a bunch of applications, but look it up to make sure it works on yours. These probably aren't going to be worth the cost with shipping, so I'll just make them available for $6 for the set to anyone who is buying something else from me.
FREE *with purchase of another item*

USED PARTS (ALL USED PARTS ARE UNTESTED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AND SOLD AS IS!! NO RETURNS, REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK)

'94-'95 DIC (GM#16149822) - A little dirty, but in otherwise good cosmetic condition. I can include the harness with a decent length of wire for no additional charge in case this will need to be a custom install. BTW, these will NOT work in a '96 GP on account of the OBDII vs OBD 1.5.
$30 (2 available)

'94-'00 steering wheel controls - All are clean with extremely little (maybe pin sized holes) to no pealing of the vinyl, and good, solid feel to the buttons. Unfortunately, I have no way to test whether the buttons themselves work, or if they light up.
$25 (5 available)

I actually found one of these in a yard and had to nab it even though I had no use for it at the time. I figured I'd get another GP someday, and while I still may, it's just laying around for now. So maybe someone else can actually use it. This is the one used on 94-96 Grand Prixs and maybe some other cars; I can never remember anymore. $25 shipped US, $30 for Canada.

Hello all, like the title says, I just need a few parts for the infamous Getrag 284. I am rounding up my 5 speed swap, and just need a few more things, namely the throwout fork, and the hydraulic/ master cylinder reservoir. I am still working on finding the uber-rare filter adapter. I know I have pestered a few of your FS threads in the past, but am ready to possibly commit on something now. Thanks for your help if you have any of the aforementioned parts laying around!

Edit: Did some digging and found the throwout fork stashed away on my work bench, so I guess I don't need that after all. Just the reservoir for now. I may just bump this thread with anything extra needed. Does anybody have any pics or dimensions of the intermediate shaft bracket they've made? I realize this is a custom made piece, but it would be nice if there were a template for bolting to the 3.8. Thanks again!

I'm trying to replace the rear caliper myself after one I paid to have installed yet again seized, but I am having a hard time reconnecting the parking brake. Is there a trick to it? I stuck it through the hole on the one side of the caliper, pushed back the spring with a zip tie so the cable fits in the slot on the other side, and then I was trying to c-clamp the moving portion closer together so I can squish the cable into the slot, but the c clamp falls off every time. Don't want to disconnect the other spring but maybe that is the way to go.

Does anyone have a link that will show me how to re sync the gears in the actuator? I have spent an hour playing hell trying to set the gears to line up at the mid point of the actuator, while having the climate control set at midpoint. Anyone have any good ways to try to line it up? I have the old one, and tried to line it up like the old, but no dice. Right now the climate is set all the way to cold right now, and thats what I am aiming for. I was lucky enough to find a 95 lumina that still had an actuator without a cracked main gear.
