Heres a funny story i had did my brakes a week ago i havent drove my car for about 3 days. I had to goto my mothers house i hate going all the way where she lived. But be4 her house theres this long strip of road with no lights for like 2 miles. So i always do over the limit well on my way there i was at the light to the 2 mile strip when some Thug with a regular Lumina pulls up to me. I usually dont pay attention to people but he was eyeing my car. Mind u this guy is sitting practially in the backseat I have no idea why he did what he does next. The light turns green he does a mini burn out so just for the hell of it i responded with a longer version of what he did he looked at me kinda amazed. Then he does the 3 honk bit so i take off he was pretty much on my tail we did a take off from a 35 mph roll. I pretty much won but then when we get to the end of the strip i was doing about 90 now i had to slow down for the light ahead. As i stopped my brakes were smoking.   The dude gives me the thumbs up and leaves. My moms house was right up the block where we were once i pulled up she thought my car was on fire. Ill never race like that after changing my brakes ever again.

Tell me about it.. my GP brakes overheat in no time flat. Try doing a 100-0 stop some day   :x

Try doing a 120-0 stop, that's even more fun.

Yes it is. 88-96 W-body brakes suck, period. By far the worst brakes I've ever had the misfortune of using. I hate Ford, but damn they have some of the best stopping abilities.

I can second that, sort of. I was at work one day and was out side loading some stuff in the store and all the sudden I hear this squeal of tires. I see this Escort screeching to a halt with tires smoking.

not ford econoline vans, they have no brake feel whatsoever, it feels like you're in an arcade playing one of those racing games
