View Full Version : Wanted:: 2GB Stick of RAM DDR2

I just bought a little netbook (532-h Acer) with 1GB of RAM. It's pretty doggy right now, so I want to throw some more RAM at it and see how it does. Since it's only got one RAM slot, I need a single 2GB stick of DDR2 SODIMM RAM.

I have PayPal and can pay anytime. Shipping will be to Wichita, KS. Thanks guys! :D

DDR2 or SODIMM DDR2?

i'm pretty certain that model uses the SODIMM variant.

I guess I don't know. I've never opened this one up...I just picked it up a couple days ago. Short of looking it up online (it's my bedtime right now) I'll just have to crack her open and see. Thanks Robert!

that's a SODIMM DDR2 stick.... the normal DDR2 sticks are considerably longer.

oldcsc let me check I might have a 2GB stick you can have. Let me check when I get home. I keep RAAM out of my old computers after I trash them. If I do I will send it to ya.

I have a couple sticks of 2gb DDR3 I'd send if they'd work.

You can't put ddr3 in a SODIMM ddr2 slot can you?Thanks for checking redvert. if the only difference between normal and sodimm is size, I'll measure it to double check before anything gets mailed. Thanks guys!

After some research, I've found out that the netbook comes stock with "PC2-5300 667Mhz DDR2 SDRAM SO DIMM 200-pin" RAM. So Sarr is right, I need some DDR2 SODIMM RAM. Sorry for all the confusion..but if anyone has any, let me know!

oldscs your right. If you computer didn't come with DDR3 you can't put it in it. I will check when I get home and let you know. I do have 4 sticks of SODIMM RAM. But, I will have to see if it is DDR2 and 2GB.
