View Full Version : 95 3.4 engine and trans, make offer, Toledo OH
http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=5615662&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1
I have my motor 3.4L DOHC and trans that have been sitting around for about 7-8 years and it is time for it to go
Motor ran perfect when it was pulled for the the swap and trans was in perfect working order as well
120.xxx miles or so and it has been kept inside the whole time it has been out of the car
I would be willing to part it out if you need something like a water pump, power steering pump or whatever it is all there except the wire harness that was used for the swap
Best offer takes anything and I am not looking to make any real money just need it gone to make room in the garage, whatever does not sell will be scrapped
I am in Toledo Ohio if you want to pick up the whole thing
I can ship anything anywhere and will accept PayPal only
I can go look at this or go pick up parts if anyone is interested, he is only a few blocks from me

hmm.... another motor for 91SE?
I like how you think... I would pick it up for you and deliver it if gas is paid for (and you pay me back the purchase price)

depending on when they would need it gone by, i may take up that offer.
i imagine being posted on clubL67GP, it won't be such a hot item?
if he'll take $100, i have that right now, may take a few weeks to build up more cash if that's too low-ball.
I asked him to post a price and he asked me to go to Pontiac Nationals with him lol, well see what he says about a price

my apologies AL for asking if you were going to nationals, it is nice to meet and contact people that are in the same area that are Pontiac fans

lets start at $250 and go from there
I should mention this motor had a timing belt replace about 1,500 miles or so before it was pulled for the swap (go ahead and make fun of L67 swaps but I was the 3rd one to ever do it over 8 years ago)
it was in perfect running order when it was pulled, it might actually still have the FFP underdrive pulley on it I am not sure (haven't really looked at it in a long time) I should be able to get to the shop and check everything out again within the next few days or early next week and post some pics
Time frame is whenever is best for you I have a couple more motors that have to be torn down/built and sold before I get to this one and scrap it so it will be here a little while longer and if your short on cash I can wait
Thanks
Its perfectly fine, I am interested in going to Nationals, can you PM me some info and dates? Either forum is fine and I look forward to meeting you

couple of observations:
the alt is gone?
what's up with the crank pulley?
i believe i see an EVO power steering pump?

I have the crank pulley it is in a box of Misc. along with the previous mentioned parts but it used to have a FFP UD on it and I never put the stock back on after I sold the UD
I guess the ALT is gone I did not notice that (I will look around for it), I just wheeled it out real quick and snapped the pictures this afternoon and wheeled it back to its corner
EVO pump? no idea what that is, I can tell you that several months after I bought the car it started whining like a bitch so I replaced it with whatever Advance Auto carries

okay, much appreciated.
EVO: electronic variable orifice. the connector on top of/near the pump looks like it is one, they used a little solenoid inside of them(controlled by the ABS module) to regulate power steering flow/pressure to allow for full assist at lower MPHs and purposely reduced assist at higher MPH for more steering feel, basically the predecessor of magnasteer, if you know what that is.

I just bought a 95 CS vert from California, and am having it shipped to Toledo within the next couple weeks. The car needs HG's at the minimum, but if your engine is good, and had a recent t-belt, it may be worth it just to swap engines. I wouldn't be down until mid Sept to pick it up however.
