i'd be interested, depending on price. i've heard strut changes are a biotch with front coilovers tho. i still have to replace my rear TDC coilovers for FFP rear coilovers 1st. would they come with KYB GR-2's?

Price?

J

price i am unsure about, he is trying to find the best bearing possible for them, he said that is the only thing holding him back is the bearing. I'll ask him about the price, but i rally dont want to bug him, i've been asking him about a lot of things lately. later jay i'll contact him now

from the man himself at FFP

Cool. I don't have a price yet, but I will let you know when I do. I
hope to have them done soon, but I just don't know what to do about the
bearing. I may not need it if I come up with a good upper mount design.
Changing the front struts shouldn't be hard with coil overs. I don't
know exactly how I'm going to do it, but I will make it as user
friendly. Because GM has blessed us with such an evil design for the
front coil overs... people are going to have to grind the spring seat
off. That will be the hardest part about the kit. They struts are simply
too damn big and heavy for me to stock them and ship the whole strut.

I'm in... I want to do the big brake upgrade for the front... any idea if these would still work? I already have the FFP CO in the back and can't wait to be able to lower the whole thing for shows especially.

I want to know when this happens. I will be interested as long as the price is reasonable. It would be so awesome to finally be able to get coilovers front and back. I had planned on getting the rear coilovers from FFP. Now I'll be saving for both.

That makes sense, concidering that they're built to order, can you imagine the workload of having to build 15 sets simultaneouly?

I'll pay full price for them, he's got the Monopoly, after all. And they're totally worth it. To me, at least.

I know that this topic has been dead for a little bit but i just wanted to let everyone know that i emailed mike about when the fronts might be done and he said that he is hoping to have them done by the first of the year and the price he said is going to be around how much the rear coilovers cost. Just wanted to let everyone know.

I'm a little confused about these adjustable coilovers. Will they allow me to lower my car or is there more involved than just that?

:withstupid: so...what you guys are basically saying is if i wanna lower my car a bit to get rid of some UGLY wheel gap, all i have to do is buy these coil-overs for front and rear!?...then i can raise it back up a bit for winter!?...

J

yes, but the ride is harsher, and not great for everyday comfort. Mine make a squeaking and groaning noise very bad also

blackbombshell95
12-02-2004, 02:02 AM
if that "SQUEAKING" is in the driver's side rear coilover then your ebrake line is in the way. i've had that problem with my ffp coilovers. the clunking noise is from the spring not being centered. lift the rear of the car, clean all the dirt and rocks out and lower it slowly. that should do it.

J
12-02-2004, 09:45 AM
the squeak is comming form the pass rear. I lifted the car and cleaned out all the material that was in there with a air compressor and soapy water, i didn't see anything stuck in there. and it still does it

J
08-23-2005, 11:35 PM
None

and i don't even think they will be developed IMO
agreed

TurboSedan

yeah i don't think FFP wants to do group purchases. which sucks. there is no better alternative as of yet IMO.

The front coil overs are still in development as far as I know, he was accually using my car before I picked it up for final measurments.

Michael is also busy with developing other products. The biggest gain about these front coil overs is the fact that the stock design has alot of tention.

I just know I would wait patiently. They will be worth the wait.
